Today I've decided to buy some steems and power up my account.
One of the reasons for that is that I understand the utility of steem as a currency. Having it on my account makes more of them through curations and inflations (sometimes) and bitcoin is just about waiting whether anybody will think that it costs more.
Of course I understand that the price for steem now can still be very high, but we can never guess future prices so it's very hard to forecast the best moment for buying or selling.
The other reason to do it now is a good downtrend which is slowing recently so maybe it's just the time.
From time to time I think to be more active on the platform and get to know at least our community, but I still have problems with regular posts since I need to push myself to write. Especially to write in English. Though it should be an additional motive to proceed, to use, to speak, to formulate ideas.
Our community is so small that we are trying to post in English to be involved in all Steemit. But maybe that's what is making us a small community - not so many people except for youth can read and write posts in English.
But frankly speaking if getting into this cryptocurrency world needs English - that's a good reason to study it. I can not even imagine that ten ore twenty years later people will not understand English since all the progress goes now in that part of the world.
Ok, I've studied economics at the University. But if speaking about modern science and not classics of it - almost all articles and videos, interesting lectures on modern scientific trends are totally in English. New free courses with modern research, and international reports and so on. We all understand the need for English. And maybe we are lucky to have this world here.
Since in FB we usually have native-speaking community of friends.
