Today I came across a problem in a book I read. The problem of good people behaving like they ought to, but the result of the actions is not in favor of one of the parties.
Both like each other and respect, both suppose to be alike, to understand each other, even they had a conversation before taking any actions because of their mutual respect. And still when it goes about interests of one of the parties... If your actions are not in my favor are we still be friends?
And this is the old problem of becoming a friend only if you always do something for the friends. And the same goes about crimes committed by friends. We would find reasons for them, we will understand them maybe. But we can not be judges and whether we have to behave the same way we usually do with others to keep justice.
In my life I had such situations when I say something to my friends though I know they wouldn't like it but I feel like this. So it goes about fiction characters but in life people await other attitude. I never saw in real life that people can overcome it.
And now it's very interesting for me whether these characters in the book will be able to go through the inconvenience of their situation.
According to Anthony Trollope...
