Let me share with you some photos from Garachico, very small tranquil town located on the northern coast of Tenerife, Spain.
It is best know for swimming in the natural, volcanic sea-water coves along the rocky coast.

The impressive rock is a symbol of the eruption that shook the Garachico area, when the port was the most important on the island.
The Castle of San Miguel which survived volcanic erruptions has a nice historical atmosphere and fits very well into surrounding rocky coast.
If you don´t like big hotel chains but you prefer lovely coastal village with lots of history and nice restaurants definitely stay in Garachico when you next time on Tenerife.
