My homeland is mostly flat land. Even our Carpathian mountains are covered with forests or meadows, there are very few rocks here. That's why I love all kinds of big stones and rocks so much. Recently I visited an incredibly beautiful place near the town of Pidkamen’(Western Ukraine).
Моя батьківщина - переважно рівнинна земля. Навіть наші гори Карпати покриті лісами чи полонинами, скель тут досить мало. Саме тому я так люблю всілякі великі камені і скелі.

In ancient times here there was a pagan temple, and later, in the times of Galician Rus there was a defensive church.
Великий камінь, що стоїть біля містечка, вважається останцем з часів давнього Сарматського моря, він утворився із рифів. У давнину на камені було язичницьке капище, а згодом і оборонна церква.
During this journey I wanted to explore more of the mysterious cave near the stone. There is the sandy soil and cave walls are constantly crumbling. That's why I didn't stay inside for a long time, it's scary.
Під час цієї мандрівки захотілося більше дослідити таємничу печеру неподалік каменя. Тут піщаний грунт і стіни печери постійно осипаються. Тому всередині довго не затримувалась, страшно.
On the slopes of the hill trees cling to the sand . Maples, birches, hornbeams ... On large stones grow bright green moss and black and gray lichens.
На схилах пагорба чіпляються за пісок дерева... Клени, берези, граби... На великих каменях із північної сторони буйно ростуть мохи і лишайники.
I easily climb up the sandy path and admire the scenery. In the distance ahead - the plain forests of Volhynia. Behind - the hills of Voronyaki.
Легко підіймаюсь вгору піщаною стежкою і милуюсь краєвидами. Вдалині попереду - рівнинні ліси Волині. Позаду - пагорби Вороняки.
And most of all I like to explore the world from the walls of an ancient Dominican monastery. The sunset, the autumn smoke, the town below is getting ready for sleep. It is guarded by an ancient stone...
А найбільше люблю оглядати світ із муру старовинного домініканського монастиря. Захід сонця, осінній дим, внизу готується до сну містечко, його охороняє древній камінь...
