When the Deutschmark, which was a very stable curreny, was replaced by the Euro,
Germans started buying more gold, and in hindsight this was perfect timing and a smart move.
So for me gold is first of all a hedge against inflation of fiat money
and against the tyranny of central banks, like in the case of the Euro.
