I can watch a lot of series for free, I´m a serial killer. 😘
And as usual, great series come with great music as well.
Though Sons of Anarchy can´t hold a candle to Breaking Bad and Homeland, my two favorites, it´s good enough to keep me entertained, and it´s got force of nature Henry Rollins, as bad motherfucker white supremacist in it, that alone is good enough for me.
Though Olyphant is the hero, Goggins outclasses him as an actor.
Another great show, with another great white supremacist 😘 (Goggins),
is Justified, a neo-Western situated in Kentucky coal country.
It´s got very interesting music by Gangstagrass, a group fusing rural Bluegrass with urban Rap, thereby creating a whole new genre.
The Scourge of France, loved by millions of Germans 😘
And finally, the show which caused a renewed interest in all things Viking.
You have to do your own research though and check its historical accuracy.
For one thing, in the spirit of PC and feminism, they exaggerated the role of Viking women in fighting.
Yes, there were shield maidens fighting in battle,
but in reality their numbers were nowhere near what the show suggests.
Women were far too precious to risk their lives in battle,
the tribe needed them to bear children to ensure its survival.
Life was hard enough as it was, with high infant mortality and women dying during child birth, no need to worsen the odds by sending women into battle in great numbers.
But from an entertainment perspective, it´s a brilliant show.
