Last Monday I had songs of the Irish struggle on here, and today I want to bring songs which are jolly good fun and meant for singing and dancing under the influence.
James and his Barnacle
The Clancy Brothers are credited with popularising Irish folk music in the 60s in the US and revitalising it in Ireland, making Irish music great again.
In their intro to Finnegan´s Wake they are not afraid to make fun of another Irish icon, James Joyce. So funny.
One of the groups which surfed to power on the wave of revitalisation of Irish music caused by the Clancy Brothers were The Dubliners, who are considered to be the quintessantial Irish group in Germany, nothing compares to them.
When legends meet.
This is my favorite version of my favorite Irish song with my two favorite Irish groups, doesn´t get more favorite than this.
