Now, I grew up in boats, even got a huge salmon the first time I put out a fishing line at 3! With some help of course, and unfortunately its one of the few things I cannot recall from back then...
So of course I have been watching the ferries come & go during these improvised days, by far preferring that way off than any flight!
The previous day I had walked all the way to the pier, but then ended up buying the ticket at a travel agent close to the room. Far less hassle than not so easy to figure out websites.
I have had a good time, extending day by day was not a problem really, and that is good since I needed a few days to get better.
Turns out doing this Greek, strong liquor on an empty stomach has consequences, but it was free & I got that interesting talk about Northern Greece, how to survive with a couple of sheep and so on.
It was fun, and promising, I could have used that restaurant as a bridehead to get established. But then even Greece is super expensive now...
I feel that I should know who this is, maybe someone can help?
I did set aside some time to explore the huge castle a bit, it was interesting using the fisheye for this, some of these hallways and so on suited the extreme rendering well.
Scenes like these work well with a fisheye I think, it both exaggerates but also gives the right impression of the size. It is a massive fortress!
It was a busy place with lots of elements to work with, but I did not have the time to work that way. So this will be it from Rhodes itself!
This is of course just a sightseeing ferry, the one I will be on is the main one going all the way to Athens. Not only that, but I booked the one taking longer, which means I will be at sea for at least 23 hours! 馃榾
That's it for now, next up is lots of Greek islands! #monomad
