Sometimes I feel like I’m searching through the rubbish heaps of the virtual world looking for lost cryptocurrency. Usually my expenses just meet my income so I’m not too worried about finances. This month has created a lot of expenses from my recent camping trip plus I have some fillings that need replacing. So I’m searching through all the stuff on the computer to see what I can use to raise some cash.
I save my old hard drives just in case something I was into goes up in value. I’ve heard a story about an old bitcoin miner that tossed out his hard drive with a bunch of “worthless at that time,” bitcoin on it. I don’t think he ever found it after searching through the local landfill for it.
What to sell? Dogecoin, Bitcoin, Ethereum? Steem? Litecoin, Hyperstake, etc…
Lots of this stuff I can’t even sell anymore - at least not on the US markets. Regulations against money laundering have made it really hard on investors of low market cap alt-coins. I wish I had more Bitcoin but I kind of missed the window of opportunity on that one.
At least Steem seems to be something that anyone can look at and see that there was a long history here of posting and gaining rewards from it. I think of it as a business and like any business, I don’t want to sell out my capital when I’m counting on a return in the long run.
I sitting here writing down these thoughts and planning out my trading for the day. I just finished my breakfast of these wonderful blackberries which grow abundantly in my backyard:
I still have a month to go before I need to pay some bills. I have a feeling that I (we) are not going to have to be scrounging for crypto too much longer. With all the new development surely something will catch on?
