My son and I played a short practice round of nine-basket disc golf this evening. He won the round with a -1 score to my even score.
I was trying out some new discs and had a couple of early release issues with the new plastic. Sometimes, with a brand new disc, I have some trouble with that until there is a bit more wear on the disc. It only takes a few throws to get a disc feeling better for me.
I was trying out the new Trial disc for the first time. It flew very well for me and seemed a bit like a Wave disc in flight. I'm not planning to throw it in the tournament coming up, but soon, I will test it out some more.

It is looking a bit orange from some of the wildfires around here.
At the local disc golf course, we noticed that a lot of the trees had been removed:
You can see all of the stumps near the basket. These trees did not look that sickly to me, but I'm not an authority on them. Many of the trees have been looking stressed from the heat and less rain.
