I played in week two of the ten week disc golf league. The tournament went well, but it was really cold. I ended up with the same score as last week, but the round was rated higher because of the weather conditions. I was missing the usual three or so short putts, but at least they were almost in. That feels like a bit of an improvement.
On the first few holes I was playing with my gloves on, and this worked fine when throwing from the tee. However, the gloves made the approach throw more difficult. I kept having to take my glove off to put in the score, so I ended up leaving my throwing hand glove off and keeping it in my pocket with a hand warmer. This worked fine for the rest of the round.
Being cold makes it even harder to make those shorter throws, and it is difficult to know how the disc is going to fly. The water in my water bottle started to freeze while I was playing.
I'm glad that there was a tournament today. I might have stayed inside and not done much if there wasn't one.
