My friend and I played an eighteen-hole disc golf round this morning. We played at a local course and had a lot of fun. I won the round with a +2 to a +11 score.
UDisc gave me a 180 round rating. I'm not sure if that is accurate because we were not playing the mando or out-of-bounds lines. The course has no drop zones on any of the mandos, so technically, you need to rethrow from the previous location if you miss. The out of bounds areas are not well defined and not well known unless you have played with someone who knows them.
I think that there could be a lot of variation in the way people use UDisc to track their rounds. Round ratings might not be very accurate because of this, but it is fun to see them.
My new socks and shoes are still working wonderfully. The shoes get really wet, but my feet stay dry in the waterproof socks. I think that the socks are breathable enough that my sweat does not get to be much of an issue on my feet. This combination might turn out to work well, and it is a lot less expensive than the pricy waterproof shoes I had been buying. I am throwing a lot better in these shoes as well. They are shaped better for my feet and give a lot better ground feel.
An interesting looking fruit tree we saw today on the disc golf course:
I'm not sure what kind of fruit this is. There were a bunch on the ground under the tree.
