I did some yard work today and mowed the grass and trimmed the blackberries. I also harvested some potatoes. There were several plants that started growing in the compost pile, and I saw some potatoes on the surface.
There were a lot of nice potatoes there, but there was also a bee nest close by. The bees started swarming around and looking aggressive, so I just got a few of the potatoes. It was enough to make a nice lunch.
Today's lunch:
Amazingly, there was not as much insect damage on the potatoes as what usually happens when I try to grow them. These potato plants were left alone and not watered at all. Go figure...
