I played another couple of practice disc golf rounds today. I usually don't like to do anything serious on the weekend unless it is a tournament or on a dedicated course. Actually, there are not that many people around here as compared to some of the courses I've played in other states but I get spoiled when I know I can play during the weekday when the course is less busy.
I was trying to break in my near max weight D3, and it was feeling a bit less stable when I was done. It is going to take a lot more throwing to get it to be anything besides a headwind fighting disc at this point. It is supposed to have some turn, but it seems like the harder I throw it, the faster it heads towards the ground. I know it will eventually get there.
I worked on my forehand grip a bit and was having a lot of luck throwing with a stacked grip with my index finger stacked on top of my middle finger. Sometimes, I throw with that grip, but some of the time I throw with my index finger twisted under my curved middle finger. I think maybe I should try to be more consistent in my grip and work a little more on my forehand since my shoulder is feeling much better, and I can go back to throwing more forehands.

This area is close to the bay and only a few feet above sea level. I'm not sure if this is fresh water from the river or more salty from tides.
