I did some dishwasher installation and removal today. It was not my plan, but when the delivery people dropped off the refrigerator and dishwasher, they installed the refrigerator and took away the old one, but... they just dumped the dishwasher in the box in the living room.
I assumed they were going to install the dishwasher since they agreed to take the old appliances away for a fee. Nobody ever told me that I had to remove the old dishwasher and install the new one. It would have been nice to have that information communicated to me.
As it turns out, they wanted almost half the cost of the dishwasher to install it, so I decided to do it myself. It feels like my arm got a bit of a workout, but I think it will be fine. I used a dolly to do the heavy lifting and wheeled it into the kitchen.
The new refrigerator is nice but the old one was larger and a bit better. It would have been great to get it repaired, but I could not find parts for it.
I like the new dishwasher a lot so far, and I think it will be an upgrade over the one it replaced, which had a bunch of issues and was around twenty years old, too.
The snails have found the little garden boxes:
They like to live inside the garden boxes because there is a source of water in the bottom of the box. Usually, the water tube can be used to fill the bottom to keep the plants moist, but sometimes the tube gets all filled up with snails. They don't seem to be eating the onions much, so no worries.
Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The pictures were taken by me with my Galaxy S22 Ultra. Text and graphics copyright lightsplasher & litesplasher.
