I'm tired both mentally and physically. I played two rounds of eighteen-hole disc golf today in a tournament. I did slightly better in the second round than the first, but I played both rounds below my rating.
I got my arm taped up first thing in the morning. I thought it might help me play better, and it did in some ways. I was able to put a lot more power on my forehand throws. Unfortunately, this was a bit different from my practice rounds, and on a critical hole near the water, I almost lost my disc in the river in both rounds. I also had the worst round putting in some time. It could have been partly from being a bit nervous and the cold and wet conditions, too.
I was planning for some heavy rain, but it was clear most of the round. I wore my raincoat, and that is harder for me to throw putts in than what I usually wear.
I wasn't expecting to win this tournament because everyone was rated higher than I am. I was hoping to do better than I did, though. Oh well, there's something to look forward to for the next time I'm playing in a tournament.
I think it does take a lot of experience to get used to playing tournaments, and I still don't have that much experience as yet.
What it looked like out on the disc golf course today:
