I did some yard work this morning clearing out some of the dead wood in the bramble patch. I hope to clear most of the patch out eventually or at least get a lot of the dead wood out so I can pick the berries more easily.

If the patch is not so thick, I think it will be a lot harder for it to be of use for the local rat population. It is going to take some time to clear it out, the way things are going. Maybe this year, I can get enough space to put in at least one fruit tree.

It was really nice this afternoon, and I thought about heading to the disc golf course, but I don't want to do too much with my arm. I figure I have a limited number of throws this week, and I would like to focus my efforts on the disc golf course that I am playing in a tournament this weekend.

It is kind of an important tournament as recreational tournaments go, so I would like to do as good as I can.

This is the last of three orchids that opened up the first of its flowers:

The orchids are pictured in their natural Pacific Northwest environment, lol. You can also see parts of the lemon tree that nearly died after producing the great Pacific Northwest lemon harvest a couple of years ago. (I got one lemon almost 1 cm in diameter that was nearly edible, lol.)

All kidding aside, the lemon tree makes wonderful fragrent flowers when it is feeling better. This year, it seems to be doing much better.
