I kind of jinxed myself today. It was late in the afternoon and kind of windy and I had been driving a lot recently and my right hip was bothering me. There is a couple of disc golf courses nearby and one is more difficult for me and near a lake.
I said to my son, "In this wind I would rather not play the course by the lake because I will likely lose a disc."
We debated about where we should go for a bit and ended up going to the one by the lake in part because the traffic was slow and it was getting late.
Naturally I lost my green and red Crave disc in the lake. It is a way easier forehand throw but the way my hip was feeling I didn't want to throw that way. I ended up just under powering a backhand throw and it hit on the rocks on the embankment and slid out into the lake on the ice.
If the ice was not there I might have been able to get it back.
This was the same disc I lost up in a tree for nine months so it seems like it might find its way back to me someday. I have a couple of replacements I can put in the bag once I get home so no worries.
What it looked like today out at the disc golf course:
It was really warm out on the course today and we were comfortable playing in teeshirts. I don't remember it ever being like this in December and neither did my mom who has lived in Colorado since the sixties.
