We played a couple of rounds of disc golf today at a heavily wooded course. It was just us three older players. I had a pretty good couple of rounds.
Usually I do well on tight wooded courses. I don't mind throwing a bunch of forehand flicks to get down a tight shorter hole. I could have played today with three discs and done about the same if not better. The course is very challenging but a wide set of different discs doesn't help you much and distance drivers are not needed.
I get kind of tired of throwing forehand after a bit and start missing my lines more. Usually I like more open courses that I can backhand the disc more because it is easier on me to throw that way. It is fun to play a densely wooded course sometimes though.
We almost lost a disc a couple of times but with the three of us searching we came up with them. One throw went a lot farther than I thought it did and I searched in the wrong place for some time. Sometimes wooded courses can be hard to find discs on. This one is especially hard when there are pools of water around. It was very dry when we played today, so that was nice.

I stopped by the resort to pick up my lost disc today. We thought about playing at the resort but it was booked up until almost noon. I'm glad they are getting good business there, it is nice to have the pro-shop and really nice disc golf courses.
