I played a couple of rounds of disc golf with my son and a couple of other friends today. I did not score all that well and was bringing up the rear of the pack among the four of us. I've been pretty inconsistent with my forehand and putts again recently. It sure was fun to play with everyone and that's the main thing I enjoy in any case.
I think I've lost a bit of my "beginners mind" around disc golf and have too many little tips and advice running around in my mind all the time. I figure once I get all these tips distilled well enough I might start playing a bit better again.
It rained most of the first round and we played with umbrellas and raincoats. It is always a bit more for me to deal with and I don't like throwing off of wet and muddy areas. I am getting more used to it though.
Physically I felt really good today with none of the usual back and joint pain. It is nothing too serious but it certainly was nice to have a day where I felt ten years younger. I've been taking more vitamin D and other supplements recently, perhaps that helps a bit. In the winter time around here most people don't get enough vitamin D.
The sun did come out for a brief time this evening:
The moss was looking nice but it might be a good time to paint the porch:
Sunset a few minutes later:
