I had the worst round of disc golf this year but at least tomorrow I have a chance to redeem myself. I could not get it together, muddy tees, cold wet weather, missing my lucky hoodie... To top it off I got some tip stuck in my head about where to put your thumb on the disc.
My son was telling a story about one of his friends and how if he just moved his thumb towards the center of the disc he could crush his drives much longer. I've heard this before from other people on the Internet so I thought maybe that was what I was doing wrong myself. Just move your thumb a bit, I thought, what could it hurt I thought.
Double bogey, bogey, double bogey... arg.
I could not figure out how I usually put my thumb on the disc for the life of me. So confusing. It did seem like I was perhaps getting a bit more power on disc but my control went out the window and out of bounds into the parking lot, (the one and only out of bounds besides the river.)
At least I did not lose any discs and tomorrow is another year. Yippy! I've got a chance to start over and do a bit better. Perhaps even get a cool solar powered car.
Wishing all you guys all the best in the coming year! Happy New Year!
