My friend had reserved a tee time at 9 am for a really difficult disc golf course. Of the six people he reserved for only three showed up. (My son and I and one other.) The friend who reserved the course ended up not being able to make it because he was feeling a bit sick. I think some other people were worried about the weather.
It ended up being a really great day of disc golfing. I took my raincoat along but I did not have to use it. The wind was a bit of an issue today especially during the first round but it was not so bad that we could not play.
We played two rounds one of which was really difficult. I ended up with a +23 on the harder round and a +3 on the easier one. There were so many longer par fours and some really tough long downhill and uphill holes.
I'm very impressed with the facility and will definatly be coming back some time. There was even a little shop with discs, food and drink for sale. I ended up buying a new Pig disc. (It is not like I needed any more overstable throwing putters but my son talked me into getting it.)
There were some gorgeous views out on the course. I will take more pictures next time I am there.
There were some really nice long fairways on the course:
I'm not sure what type of mushroom this is but I think it might be called, "Witches Butter."
Anyone else know what this is called? It was growing on a log out on the course today.
Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The pictures were taken by me with my Galaxy S9+. Text and graphics copyright lightsplasher & litesplasher.
