I played a couple of eighteen basket rounds of disc golf with my friend and son today. I was not playing really well and kept missing putts and throwing off my intended line. I think part of it was from being very stiff from the colder weather and some of the usual aches and pains that come with age.
My son won the first round and my friend won the second. I'm happy for them but wished I had played a bit better. It was not that windy and we really had some nice conditions for this time of year.
Having some new discs in the bag is a lot of fun but does make it tougher if you are scoring a round. I tend to do better with a disc the longer I have been consistently throwing it. Both the Tactic and the Method discs have made the bag at least for now. They have kicked out a couple of other max weight discs. If it gets windy or the weather gets warmer, I might trade those back in. If I'm not wearing heavy clothing I tend to be able to put more power on a disc and the heavier discs get easier to throw.
As we were about to go another friend wanted to play a round. I would have stayed for three but my son needed to go. It is always fun to have friends out on the course that like to play. I'm sure we will get a chance to play next time.
Doggie was being very friendly this morning and kept wanting me to scratch his back:
