Played a couple of rounds of disc golf this morning with my son. His friend joined us on one of the rounds. I ended up with the best score on both rounds.
My son usually wins but recently he has been having some issues with letting his throws get to him. Disc golf is such a mental game that I really feel he could score three or more points better if he learned to relax a bit more. (I'm not sure if it is helpful to tell people to relax though.)
At different times in your life it does become very hard to take things easy. The first part of change to a new college can be a difficult time as I remember.
We also played a short nine basket round this evening and both of us scored at par. It was a bit dark for half of the round and I had trouble seeing the baskets. It was great to get out again.
Staying active is wonderful for us both and I'm glad to be able to play games with my son.
A picture of a tree out on the disc golf course today:
Your probably wondering why the picture of the tree? I heard an odd noise, looked up and saw this hawk flying over to the tree:
A couple days ago I posted a picture of a feather and I'm pretty sure it came from this hawk or someone like it. There is a lot of evidence of this bird on the disc golf course and some leftovers from a lot of its meals.
I like these kind of birds but they are all fun to watch and see when out disc golfing.
Unfortunately I can't get a very high quality photo at this distance with my smart phone. I might stuff my other camera in my disc golf bag sometime.
Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The pictures were taken by me with my Galaxy S9+. Text and graphics copyright lightsplasher & litesplasher.
