I played a couple of rounds of disc golf today with my son and a friend. On the first round I scored a four over par.
On hole eleven on the second round I threw a long forehand drive and just as I released it a sudden gust of wind came up and took it way up in the air. The disc went way right of the target and skipped off the path right into the river. Bummer.
Searching... searching... We couldn't find it this morning. After the loss I wasn't in the mood to continue the round. It was getting late anyway and we needed to be heading back.
It was a really nice rainbow colored Champion Boss disc that I had found recently. I had called the number on the disc and the person let me have it if I could throw it. Apparently he didn't even know where the course was I found the disc at. This disc was just beat in perfectly and flew very nicely for me.
I took a nap this afternoon and I dreamed that I found the disc.
I rode my e-bike back out to the course after dinner and searched again. I found the disc right where we thought it had gone in. It was on edge in the water and difficult to see.
I'm really happy to get it back.
I spent a bit of time searching for some of my other lost discs but they were no where to be found. The river water was clearer and it was running lower so it was worth looking around. After things have been missing for some time chances are good someone else might have found them. I didn't have my name on them yet so they are free gifts for someone if found.
A basil plant that was rooted from some fresh cut basil:
So far the snails and slugs have not discovered the basil plant.
