I played lots of disc golf today but my score was not all that good. Lots of distractions and some issues with putting were making it difficult for me to score well.
It was still a very fun day to be outside. The sun was out and weather was very nice. The last few days have been wonderful and I think I have just a bit of sunburn started on my face.
I tried out this World disc for the first time:
I found this disc in the river when I was searching for my lost discs and it is a keeper. I like the feel of the plastic a lot and it flies really wonderfully.
There is less glide so it is easier to throw underneath some overhanging branches without as much worry about it rising up in a headwind. I works well for me both forehand and backhand. There are a lot of holes where it is nice to have something that fades a lot and this does the trick. It reminds me a lot of a faster XCaliber disc, which is another handy over-stable disc.
I lost a brand new World disc in a different river on the first throw. I never really got to try it out so I'm pretty happy I found this almost brand new disc in the river.
The other disc that I found in the river and ended up keeping is too flippy. I tried throwing it today but I'm not sure it will make the bag.
Next time I'm out at my favorite course I'm going to try out some of my spare discs on hole eight to see if I can find one that is somewhat reasonable to use when it is windy. That way I can have something to throw that I don't have to worry about losing too much.
