It was very rainy today. My friend wanted to go play at one of the regular golf courses that was converted to disc golf. I was kind of on the fence about it and decided not to go because of the weather. The were charging a small fee to play and I was not sure about paying the fee and having it get too rainy.
My son and I ended up playing a round of eighteen at our favorite course down by the river. The river was high from the rain but not yet flooding the road so we got to play there alright.
We played another short nine hole course in the evening. It's close by but not as challenging and can be really wet sometimes. (Which it was this evening.)
Someone was digging a hole to China today:
I actually remember doing this as a toddler. It's especially fun on a rainy muddy day and a bonus if the hole gets filled up with water. Sitting in the mud is really fun... squish, squish.
No puppies were harmed in the taking of this picture, lol:
The Raspberry Pi computer is doing a few more things now. I have Firefox running and the file browser. There seem to be a few issues with things and I'm having some problems getting all the sound and video working right and drives mounted. The verdict is not out yet on if I'm going to be able to run everything well enough using Ubuntu Server 20.04 as the operating system.
I wanted to try a 64 bit operating system to take full advantage of the memory. I thought it might be faster for the main thing I want to do with it. I might still try the Rasberry Pi specific version of Linux. Having a fully working desktop might be nice but not really required.
There's a lot of different options, I'm having fun trying out different things.
