I did the solo disc golf practice round again today. I saw a beginner out on the course and invited him to play but he seemed uninclined. I guess he took one look at my bag and figured I was just not at the same level of play. I really don't care that much about the scores and like to play against the course but with social distancing I guess it is better not to play with other people you don't know anyway.

I noticed some of the flowers out near the river were a different color than most of the other ones. I had to take a picture:

Here you can see the color of most of the other flowers in the background:

Some interesting mushrooms were coming out today too:

These mushrooms like to pop up after a rain:

I managed to throw my Harp on a forehand drive for around 150 feet and plant it by the basket. I've been having troubles driving my putters and midrange discs on a forehand flick so this was kind of a nice shot. I think changing my grip to a kind of stacked grip was helpful for this. I still like my usual grip for forehand on distance and fairway drivers though.

I got a new pair of shoes yesterday and they are really helpful for disc golf. It is wonderful to have dry feet on the course for once. I hope that they hold up well and stay waterproof. This is the second pair of Soloman Speed Cross shoes I have had. The first pair was great (version 3) and these (version 5 GTX) seem even nicer so far. The GTX is for the gore tex version.

I splurged because of the extra cash the government gave out. I probably should be saving though.

Here's the Harp disc where it landed under the basket:
