Today it rained and it rained and it rained and just when you thought the sewers were about to back up... it stopped raining. My son and I went outside and played with our disc golf putting discs.
My son invented a game where we tried to get the disc closest to his trombone stand and tried to knock it over. There were various points applied to how successful you were in the endevor. The point scoring definitely favored my putting style and I cleaned house and won three times in a row by a significant margin.
Next time I guess there will be less points for "closest to pin" and more for the challenging "knock the pin over" plays, lol. (The out of bounds points deducted might be modified too.)
It was a really fun game and there are a number of obstacles in the yard to throw around and places where you can mark as out of bounds. Landing on the street or sidewalk is really bad for putter discs so you need to be careful about that. Throwing over the fence into the neighbors yard is not good either.
The trick is to make it challenging enough without being so difficult that you end up throwing your disc on top of the house or other places where it is hard to recover. At some point it might be fun to get a practice basket but we really don't have a big enough yard to set it up in and most of the time it is easier to head to the park.
There was not much else happening today. I paced around for a bit and did a few other things around the house.
I hope everyone is happy and healthy out there! Thank you all for your support!
