I got some new plastic today, a LInk putter and a Bard midrange. I tried both of them out on the local nine basket course. It was muddy as usual and both discs were really wet when I threw them. I didn't bother to take a rag to wipe them since I was really just wanting to test them out.

I'm really happy with the Link putter. It works well for close putts and is exactly what I wanted. The grip feels wonderful and the rim is not as high as my other putters. It works pretty well in the wind.

The Bard midrange I'm not so sure about yet. I was having troubles throwing it with a power grip and so far I think I can throw my Harp putter better with a power grip. I thought maybe it would work as a forehand disc but it doesn't feel good as a forehand disc either. It does fly nice with a fan grip and I'm not able to turn it up under power so those are pluses. I will need to test it out a lot more once things have dried up a bit and I can see how it throws when my hands and the disc are not wet.

Later in the day my son and I played a few baskets at the longer eighteen basket course. The wind was giving my son a lot of issues. I was playing about the same as usual but this was pretty good considering how hard the wind was blowing. When it started to rain we decided to stop playing.

I tend to lay up the disc to the basket and not run it much especially when it is windy. I think I have a pretty good bag for windy conditions too.

Here's the collection of plastic discs:

Disc golf has turned into my main exercise now. It sure is fun to get out on the course with a variety of different people. There are lots of interesting new discs to try out too.
