Hello wonderful people of the MCGI Community. It was another great time in God's presence and I have been privileged to participate in the Mass Indoctrination that is taught by Brother Elisoriano via zoom.
Important lesson learned from today's teaching
Today's teaching was very powerful as Bro Eli dwelled on different believers and the kind of heart. Reading from the book of Luke chapter 18, the Bible clearly explained how different believer's receive the word God through the parable of the sower. It is said believers has four different kinds of heart, we have The way side, the Rocky place, The thorny place and the good ground heart.
Way side: The parable of the sower says when the sower was going to sow some of the seed fell on the way side, this can be likened to the heart of some believers when they hear the word of God, the devil can easily take it from their heart easily and they we go back to their former ways without repenting. It is expected of us to stay vigilant always according to 1Peter 5:8, because the devil is always roaming around looking for who to deceive and devour.
Rocky Place: It was said that some of the seed fell on a rocky place which represents the believers with the heat of rock. The rocky heart believer accepts the word of God with joy but it not always rooted in them, they deviate and are carried away when temptations and trials comes, when they are faced with challenges they forget the word. As a believer we should never allow the word of God to go out of our heart when we are faced with temptations and trial, we should always stand firm to his word.
Thorny place: Some of the seeds on a thorny place where it is been choked by unwanted plants. The thorny hearts are those who hear and accept the word of God with joy but they are being distracted by their ambitions and worldly goals, this believers are been carried away with material things. Believers should not be carried away with material things easily, the word of God is the most important thing first before anything, riches will pass away but the word of God is new everyday.
The Good Ground: The sower seeds also fell on a good ground which later germinated and brought forth good fruit. This is the heart heart every believers should possess, we must accept the word of God and allow it bear fruits in our heart, this is the only way we can grow as a Christians.
God can still change all bad hearts listed above to that of the good ground, you just have to believe in the word no matter what.
It was really a powerful time in the presence of God, I can't wait to also join the next Mass Indoctrination session God willing.
