JOULESTEEM Source Battery Longevity Tests - Post #17
A worn-out Havaianas slippers converted into a work of art by my wife. I have no idea how she does these stuff, I can only appreciate it……...
WHY DO WE NEED TO TEST THE SOURCE BATTERY LONGEVITY
For a thorough understanding on this post as it relates to my previous rundown post, just read the link to the said post below.
As far as the JOULESTEEM's continuous operation is concerned, the longevity of the source battery in running everything is one of the most crucial parameters that we need to take care of. The main idea behind is to be able to prolong the source battery operation so that the charge battery can have a longer time to charge as well. In addition, in every cycle of activation/healing currents, we need to find a way to lessen the “drain” of the source battery while maximizing the “charge” going into the charge battery.
Even if we already have many plans on how to leverage the operation of the source battery, the first thing to scrutinize on the source battery is its normal run time, with the 220 volt LED bulb and the charger in operation. After such very basic runs, we then need to “load” the series caps of the reservoir caps to simulate a true load.

THE APPROACH
Our particular target battery is specific here, as our main aim is to light a 3 watts 220 volt LED bulb with everything thereafter (like the charger, etc) just a resulting effect due to our unique arrangement. Oftentimes I always use the 70 Ah (ampere-hour) sized battery in my experiments, but since this battery size is so huge for this purpose, I also found out that at the charging side, it also takes time to fully charge one.
To re-balance everything and make the JOULESTEEM run as intended, we need to use the 7 Ah to around 12 Ah small-sized motorcycle battery. Since this smaller size packs also a lesser amount of “stored” power, the source battery is expected to drain faster, however, on the charging side since it is now smaller, charge rate will be much faster since it is smaller.
This will be one of the thrilling episodes of my own experiments as I write as these smaller batteries are just recently deployed. The main aim is very simple here, if the source battery can light the 3 watts 220 volt LED bulb for about three hours, it is very likely that the charge battery during such duration have also arrived at its fully-charged capacity.
So smaller batteries takes lesser time to discharge yes, but it also takes it lesser time to charge. This is the part where we will see the “discharging” rate for ourselves thru experimentation.

THE EXPECTATIONS
As this will be one of the most crucial parameters to clearly observe and possibly gain advantage of, I expect the soruce battery to light the 3 watts 220 volt LED bulb in the intended time of three hours.
I expect excitement and more fun when this part of the tests arrives, as this will be one of the most crucial parameters or obstacles to hurdle.
