A HUGE WHALE’S UPVOTE HAD A NEGATIVE EFFECT ON MY POSTS AFTER
No this is not the whale’s fault, this is the System’s.
I am now on my 38th post on STEEMIT, and for the first 30 posts I can fairly say that the upvotes that I am getting are fair enough for the kind of content that I posted and worked hard for. In fact, I had my biggest payout at about 90 dollars on my 30th post where I had laid down the simple steps to add new STEEMIT users using only the linux cli and some python “steempy” commands.
I am really very thankful for such a commendation via the upvote system, I really do. But then, and here’s the real purpose of this post, after my 30th and biggest payout post, the following seven posts in the next seven days really buffled me as to how the upvoting system of STEEMIT operates.
You see my friends, I got almost zero payout, so it was like from hero to instant zero for me; the evidence on the below screenshot:

First of all my good thanks to those who upvoted my posts the last seven days, you really saved me from the word zero, so thank you so much. You have no idea guys how worthy your few votes are to a struggling newcomer like me who really believes in the potential of the STEEMIT community.
On to my simple analysis.
I really think the upvotes of big whales on STEEMIT were being followed by auto-BOTS. This is evident when my 30th post had received a good payout from an upvote of a huge whale as 
In just minutes the upvotes on the mentioned 30th post regarding “Adding New STEEMIT Users” had reached to 80 plus, and I was even surprised that my post can be seen at the TRENDING section.
Happiest day so far, I felt vindicated and rewarded for my honest to goodness hardwork.
MY TAKE ON WHY THE ZEROS IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE HERO
And then, my slow march to a full week of almost zero-NESS.
I really think the upvotes stopped coming due to the fact that I am viewed as slowly creeping up the minnow’s ladder even if I am starting from ZERO SBD and registered here for free.
Instead of viewing my posts as what they really bring, the worth of it’s good content (maybe not all are good, but surely some) was overshadowed by the fact that I “may go up” even if I have nothing to begin with in pure SBD terms. Added to this, once no dolphin or whale took a glimpse and an upvote on my posts, the auto-BOT followers stopped coming in as well. Hence, my gratitude to the minnows who stayed with me and to the whales who upvoted for me, but surely not to the SYSTEM as being run collectively. I really think no good-minded investor will jump in here with us if this is the way we reward, from HERO to ZERO.
I do not know if I am complaining, but truth to tell it is the future of this good platform of STEEMIT that I am more worried about. I may be biased, but my post for example on “How To UNDELEGATE” and “How To Secure STEEMIT Accounts” were as important, if not, more relevant as compared to my 30th post who got the highest reward, both posts were on my 31st and 34th post as mentioned to have zero values. I have not even gone back yet to my JOULESTEEM circuit, which I am preparing as I write, believe me all of you if I say in advance that this will open up PANDORA’s box as far as home electrical power is concerned.
In simple terms, I just felt “undervalued” with regards to my last seven posts, No No not for its content, but more of what I could have brought to the STEEMIT community. I am hoping against all hope that people with good content to offer here be judged by what they write and offer, not by “how much” they really interact politically and monetarily.
A writer has gotta write, a painter has gotta paint, while a photographer has gotta shoot. The three of whom as an example of gifted people here clearly will bring value for STEEMIT exactly the same as our good political STEEMIANS do. From whales to witnesses to politicians to gifted STEEMIANS down to the last redfish should go up the ladder; this is the only way that waiting people outside will join us, once they see that we are all fair and good, especially in a more personal level, not on auto-BOT’s following the scent of good-hearted whales.
May the STEEMIT visionaries save this good platform by not equating these very talented individuals to the politicians, because each gifted person deserves his chance on STEEMIT.
Not one be left behind; this mindset will clearly make STEEMIT the best crypto approach ever.
