I also have heard Iranian immigrants that in their country there wouldn't be allowed of most of the basic things we find in the west. And you have the old videos of life in Iran before the Islamic revolution being much modern than whatever is recorded right now.

Now that is one big prejudice. Christians are much, much safer in Iran then in Israel.

And BTW, there is a great number of Jews in Iran, and they had a 500 years old Sinagogue in Tehran… Until U.S. strikes destroyed it at the beginning of this year.
