Very nicely elaborated point, with some really nice pics hetty-rowan@hetty-rowan. I would add just two things:

  1. Link to your bridge camera: https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikon-coolpix-p1000

  2. And my own reason for SLR – with it you actually can make it small and light combination, not having to carry all the time a heavy telephoto like with Nikon P1000.
