The playing strength of the tournaments keeps getting higher! If 9 out of 15 participants have a rating of over 2000, it will be difficult for the weaker players to get points at all.
If I may suggest changed points distribution for the next season, 
I think that everybody should get points after each round in this fashion:
If there is 15 player in the round, the first gets 15 points, second 14, etc… and the last 1 point. If there is 17 players in the round, the first gets 17 points, second 16, etc… and the last again 1 point.
This way people would be stimulated to participate regardless of rating, and even the worst player could have at least as many points as there are rounds in the season.
This way of points distribution would still favor best players, but with more participants it would be probably less matches between players with a greater ELO difference, ie. the pairing could be more equal.
