Setting up a huge fire and dancing around it is the final part of the openings of Surva, the annually held International Festival of Masquerade Games in Pernik, Bulgaria. Every January, thousands of Kukeri, traditionally dressed in scary masks and fur costumes, perform outdoors dancing and making loud noises with their several brass bells in order to banish, chase away the evil spirits. This is a spectacular ritual. You are more than welcome to come and join it ;)
