Shooting against the Sun, or also known as "contre-jour", coming from the French language, of course, is a technique not recommended by the lens and camera manufacturers. If you don't trust me, open your camera manual and read for yourself ;)
However, that technique produces one of the most scenery and beautiful landscape. It could also be applied to portraits too.
