Baltit Fort, Hunza valley, Pakistan

The 8th century's Baltit Fort is situated in Hunza Valley in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The fort started to decay, near to fall into ruin but a restoration work started by Agha Khan trust and now it has become a popular tourist destination. So I decided to participate in Friendly moose photo contest topic "Decay", to highlight this magnificent place and for this contest my best entry is a Decay Markhor Animal head displayed on a wall in Baltit fort.

Markhor Head

Once this magnificent animal had been roaming on earth elegantly but after death its Decay head is on display on a wooden wall of fort. As this is a royal palace and there are many other Markhor Heads on display on different places with breath taking view of Karakoram Range and Himalayan Range.
