The bus driver got off the bus and asked the two kids to wait, then he started to look around. I could see from the windows that he called over one of the taxi drivers who were chatting amongst themselves on the side of the footpath.
By the way of their conversation, it looks like that the bus driver and the taxi driver knew each other, they had a quick chat and after a few seconds, the bus driver came back onto the bus and opened one of the compartments in the driver's seat.
He searched for a few seconds and took out what looks like a Cab Charge (a coupon which allows the taxi fair to be charged back to the company), and handed it over to the taxi driver, who then took the two kids over to his cab.
The bus driver then came back onto the bus and said "Sorry for the delay fokes, we'll be on our way now". At that point I had just realised what had happened. Doesn’t matter how cold the weather was that day, what I saw had warmed my heart for the rest of the trip home.
