The time has come for steemit to figure out what is going to happen to itself does it want to survive or does it want to be known as a very good failed project?
It might be wise to share the mining power to the community and not a selected few.. with that thought in mind Equihash comes in slowly but surely the rewards multiple... slowly which is great.
Maybe stop the interest rate on Steem and SBD and keep steempower interest the same but now you can mine SP with your cute CPU...
I have downloaded nicehash 's Miner and I am making around $3 dollars a day by selling my cpu power. I would rather mine Zcash but bitcoin is much better in my eyes. Now if we could implement this algorithm to steemit it be prime! Maybe even take it out of the 5 month old Beta and introduce all new upgrades including a better mining algorithm, instead of keeping the same top 19 witness making the bank... centralized much.
