Steemit Exceeds 100K Users, Plans to Expand Saving Steem

Well I came across this post today from cointelegraph its kind of interesting that  DAN and NED want to extend the beta till 2017.

Steemit itself will be continuing with Steem despite low prices due to the fact that it offers free transactions and text storing benefits. On the other hand, Yours, a close rival of Steemit will be using Bitcoin for its vast supported software, APIs and recently announced its Lightning integration for micropayments.According to Scott, there is still a lot to do on Steemit’s user experience and since they are paying a lot of attention to mainstream users’ needs, they are remaining in beta into 2017 as well.

I also love how it says Scott  "They are paying alot of attention to mainstream users' needs..." Why not pay attention to the real users.  and fix the main issues. and why not make a post about it on steemit, to address the real issues at hand... I really don't get the down trend of the price and how nothing is being done to fix the issue, seems as they are just letting steemit die.
