In this post I would like to introduce you to my favorite wallet Exodus. "But everyone knows that already!" I was thinking the same thing. However, especially new users seem to be unfamiliar with this "multi-wallet"; I hope my post will change this now!
What is Exodus?
Exodus is a so-called cold lite wallet. This means it is installed on your computer, together with your private keys of the wallets. However, you don't need to download the whole blockchains. "Wait! Wallets and blockchains? I thought it is a (one) wallet?" No! This is the beauty of Exodus. Once downloaded, you can manage various cryptos on a single interface.
Features
The "Portfolio" tab gives you an overview of the distribution of your coins and their current USD value. (By defaulty from coinmarketcap.com)
Under "Wallet" you will get a more detailed insight into your wallets. Here you can display the respective public keys of the currencies, send + receive money and also view all past transactions.
If you click on "Exchange", it is possible for you to change your holdings within a few seconds and without even leaving the interface. This is done by ShapeShift!
The Backup tab is probably the most negligible but at the same time most important! If your hard disk fails, you make a bad mistake or a cryptovirus like Wannacry encrypts your data, the 5 minutes effort have been well invested!
In the settings, you can set the background design of the dashboard and decide which coins should be displayed on the dashboard.
The last tab "Help" clarifies the last questions you have to Exodus.

- Doge
- Golem
- Augur
The developers are constantly working on adding more. So it remains exciting which comes next!
Installation
To use Exodus, simply download the latest version for your platform exodus.io and follow the installation instructions.
Important:
Set up your backup early on! I can't tell you that enough.
Developer options
Sooner or later it might happen that you have the desire to export your private keys or to import them from other wallets. To do this, you must activate the developer options by pressing the "Ctrl + Shift + d" keys.
Afterwards, a menu appears in the top of the screen. However, I will not go into detail with this.
Only one thing is said, CAUTION! "with great power comes great responsibility". A few wrong clicks can make your private keys and thus your money be gone forever. (Did i mention the backup already? 馃)
