LIGHT FLOWER ROTATION

There is something calming about doing Camera Rotation Light Painting with flowers in the basement. That's why I took a few new pictures. All pictures were taken in a single exposure each. I used different torches and my self-made High CRI Mini Light Scanner.

In addition to the flowers, I had placed some rotten pieces of wood in the picture. Judging by the colour, they must be the remains of a cherry tree.

In the last image, I had first lit only a small part of the scene with an orange Convoy S2+, turning the camera without covering the lens. This is where the continuous light traces come from. For the second rotation I turned the camera in steps of 30掳 and illuminated the flowers with the Light Scanner at each step.

WHAT IS LIGHT PAINTING?

Light painting is a unique form of art. The artist illuminates the scene with diverse light sources and paints light traces into the picture with various light tools. In addition, we use various other techniques, such as camera rotation or other movements of the camera during the exposure. The creative possibilities are almost unlimited. All our pictures were taken during one single exposure. Apart from denoising, sharpening, cutting and possibly adjusting the white balance, our pictures are not processed on the computer.
