It is impressive to see how the soil shows us our history.
Those crystals are formed underground and you found them next to a river.
Probably, the spring drags along the riverbed many stones that come from the interior of the earth.
Or, perhaps, in the course of geological eras, the earth turned over and left rocks on the surface that were previously hidden.
An excellent find.
