The pain of loosing someone dear can be more painful than the sting of a bee. The thought of not seeing that dear one you love can be killing as well.Everything will look like a dream at first...like is this person really gone then reality dawns on you as the day goes by.
Just few days ago I received a call from my sis. She sounded distressed and I was curious, I was like what would make her sound this way...in a shaky and fearful voice she manage to say to me please pray for Sis.Moreen, I was just called by my hubby that she just died in the hospital. My heart skipped many beats as this person is a very dear family friend,I didn't hesitate to asked what happened, she narrated all she knew about the whole thing because she was also briefed.
You can be very sure of what my next move was...I started praying and prayed with the whole of my heart expecting a miracle because I could recall my sis said we can still bring her back to life since she just died. Well I'm a believer and I believe in miracles,I've seen some in this my little years on earth and with that conviction I prayed like I won't anymore then after few minutes of heart felt prayer I decided to end it in the hope that I will receive a call to confirm that the prayer actually brought back the dead.
Just as expected my sis called back I was super excited because I was expecting to hear the good news...I mean who wouldn't want to hear that someone who died came back to life on account of the prayers of her loved ones...but this time the call came in and my sis with a very discouraging voice cleared the air finally telling me she had been long dead even before she called, the family didn't break the news as at the time she passed in a bid to contain the information. My sis' disposition was a clear signal that all hope was lost and that we should just let her go..
Mhen! It was if if they poured ice water on me and my spirit man,I just went moody and weak at the same time as reality dawned on me that I won't be seeing Sis. Moreen again,I tried to shake it off and managed not to cry banking on the fact that we are believers and that we will see ourselves in heaven on the day of resurrection just like we are being taught in church but my eyes betrayed me just yesterday during the burial proper,we were asked to to see her for the last time for as many who are strong enough to control their emotions, well who wouldn't want to pay the last respect of seeing her...we all did and somehow in our heart we all had a kind of believe that the dead can still rise even before putting her in the grave.
I finally lost it...I cried and joined the host of other who could not also contain the tears. It was indeed an emotional moment for everyone there. But in all I've learnt to bless God,He know best and we all will know better when we all meet.
We lost her馃槶
