It was really another awesome moment learning the doctrines of Christ. I enjoyed every bit of the message and am glad I was part of the study. Am sorry am just posting that of day 5, I couldn't make the post because due to some reason beyond my control,but thanks be to God am here to do just that.
In the study we learnt that there is a way every believer should dress,most especially the female amidst us. The reason why some o these female are raped is because they dress carelessly. Modesty should be our watch word when it comes to dressing.
Matthew 5:18 also admonish us as believers not to look lustfully at a woman even in our heart, whoever does that has committed adultery or fornication as the case may be. We are to guard our heart with all diligence.
Another emphasis in the study is how husband and wife should relate which is very important. According to 1 Peter 3:7, husband have been enjoined to dwell with their wives with knowledge so that his prayers is not hindered in anyway. Husband's also need to honour their wives as unto weaker vessels. By honour we mean, husband should be able to understand and give her due considerations at all time.
1 Timothy 5:8 enjoins husbands to provide for their home,any man not find doing this is worse than an unbeliever which can also be referred to as an infidel while Col.3:19 enjoins husband to love their wives and not be bitter against them in any way,they should be given due respect. And according to Ephesians 5:33, wives have been enjoined to be very submissive and respectful to her husband. We can see how much Sarah respected her husband Abraham in 1Peter 3:6 so much so that he called him her Lord.
I also learnt that an unbelieving husband can be satisfied by an believing wife and vice versal even their children are covered by their believe of faith and this is according to 1 Cor.7:4.
Lastly I learnt that it is wrong for a man to prophesy (preaches/prays) covering his head,it is a sign of dishonour to the head and it is very dishonouring or shameful for a woman to prophesy with her head uncover. She has to keep her long hair which has been made a covering for her.
These and many more are the lesson learnt in the course of the study. I will like to say a very big thanks to the MCGI team. Thanks for all you do.
