Pets aren't just pets to me, they are my family too!
Hello Hive Pets Community. Hi, it's me @lheeshan06 signing in today. It's my first time to post in this community and I am glad that I find a community where I can share my beloved pets. I hope I will not bore you with my blog today!
It was last month when these two little cuties "Miming and "Puppy" came into our lives but Miming came first and on the next day Puppy was brought by hubby.
How did we find Miming?
Miming was brought by my eldest son into our house. He told us that it was one of our neighbor's kittens and seeing this little cutie beside the road with a pitiful look makes my eldest decide to bring it home since there are so many kittens in our neighborhood and it's also okay with them if we would get one to take care of. At first, I was hesitant to take care of this little cutie because of the experience that we had with our previous cat wherein it was not returning home after how many days but later on, we found out that he was caged by his true owner. We thought that he doesn't have an owner since it was just going from one house to another.
After a few days of being with us, this cutie already became so attached to us. We let him sleep with us and since this kitten is very picky in terms of the food that he will eat, so we find ways on how we can feed him so he won't be starving.
This photo was taken when Miming was wakened up by my youngest son. He was startled by the sudden touch on his body and I'm glad that he isn't angry with my son instead he just got back to sleep after I caress his head. That's one of his favorites, being caressed or being cuddled. He will surely fall asleep immediately once someone does that thing to him. How cutie this little one is!
This photo of him was taken by my daughter as we let him roam around. He was playing with the falling leaves and twigs and I bet he enjoyed the moment when we let him just do what he wants outside. Sometimes he also runs after my youngest who was also very busy with his siblings running and catching each other. Having this kitten at home made the kids happier especially since they treated him like a baby.
How did Puppy come into our life?
Puppy is one of those puppies that was born last May. Their mother was a pet dog of our neighbor and last May it gave birth to 4 cute puppies and one of them is Puppy. He was brought by my partner at home. At first, he was a feisty one that I'm afraid to let my kids touch him, especially Adam because of the experience that I had with my youngest when he was still one year old. He was bitten by a dog of our neighbor on his face. That experience gives me a traumatic experience that's why when the puppy was still not used to us, I didn't let Adam touch him. But when he was getting used to our presence, the kids can now hold and cuddled him. Just like with Miming, we also sometimes let this puppy roam around. We don't want them to be just inside the house all the time.
One morning as we let him roam around, I was also washing the dishes then suddenly I just heard a sound of him crying like he was hurt or something. I immediately stood up and find him and when he reached home, I saw that his body was all wet. Someone splashed water on him that's why he was crying back home. I immediately wrapped him in a clean cloth since he was shaking because of the coldness that he felt.
This was him when he was wrapped with a clean cloth. He was really shaking that time that's why I let him be cuddled by Xander and we just let him move when he was feeling okay already. Same with Miming, we also treated Puppy like a baby.
Dog and Cat Can Be Friends
It's very rare to see cats and dogs getting along with each other because mostly, I see them quarreling upon meeting each other but my two cuties proved to me that dogs and cats can be friends or can be best friends.
These photos above were taken in the afternoon after Puppy was feeling okay already. As he was lying to have his afternoon nap, Miming moved and sleep beside him and he just let him be. But after some time, I noticed that Puppy's one leg was put in Miming's neck. Miming didn't complain about it and seeing these two adorable babies made me smile. I took a photo of them and then take another shot when the puppy removed his legs and then dozed off to sleep.
