I learned about Steemit platform just 3 months ago. I heard it from my friend and classmate @jemzem. That time, she was promoting an online business but I was hesitant to join because I don't have money yet for registration so I asked her if she knows any sort of website or platform that pays which needs no investment but only your time and effort. She told me eagerly about Steemit but she also cautioned me not to set my expectations so high because you are not guaranteed to gain in every post. She told me not to be ashamed to ask questions if need be.It took me 3 days before I got my account.
My primary reason why I joined this platform is to "EARN". I was just hired that time as a job order employee that time assigned as clerk for the Cebu City Federation of Parents Teachers Association Incorporated. My job is to receive communications from 125 public schools under DepEd Cebu City Division and also prepare memorandums for meetings. I find this job boring. Imagine waiting for hours for someone to come and submit something. Also, I am paid only the minimum wage which is not that much so I was looking for a part time job to add to my salary and also a way to kill time. But, after days of posting some blogs with no gains, as in 0, I decided to call it quits. I wasn't so active anymore but days later I realized I missed writing and publishing blogs. I love writing back in High School. That is why, I;m back. It doesnt matter if I gain less here but just knowing that someone reads your post, then the feeling is a reward already.
My advise to all newbies, don't get discouraged and distracted if your posts doesn't have very high gains. Just remember, even whales started as minnows. If you find it hard to make posts, just practice. You can't succeed if you have not failed.
