I like better curating manually especially I have only a small amount of Steem Power, so basically my voting power is very limited.
I used Steemvoter once but I am not fond of it because it exhausted my Voting power. Also, by using an autovoter, it means you are curating a post without first reading its content.This further means that you are only into curating rewards, not the knowledge you will be getting from reading it.
Manually curating a post means you have read the entirety of it and you found something interesting in it that you consider it giving a tip. Now, I believe the upvotes we are giving to a certain post is like a tip we are giving at restaurants, or hotels because we like their service. In this platform, we give upvotes because they've made a good content.
If people will just use an autovoter to curate on posts, then this platform's purpose of spreading knowledge will be forfeited. What would this platform become if it is not used for its purpose? If that is the case, then we can publish anything we want to earn rewards, be it a non-sense post or what.
With this, manual curation should be given first priority to make this platform a healthy one.
